HISTORY Timber was born to a family that had already begun. Her litter mate, Oaktail, was her only true sibling. Her mother had had another litter to another tom 12 moons prior. Timber was never close to her other siblings, and never had the desire to be. Her father, a sick and dying tom, wanted a family as his last wish. So Timber's mother, Stonepelt, abode by her true love's wish. Stone raised her children to love their father, though he died of a nasty wound infection when they were only five moons old. Timber barely remembers her father, but the memories she does have are sweet. She was always a tom boy from the moment she opened her eyes. She was always breaking the rules and pulling her mother's fur out by the pawfuls. Oaktail was dragged along, but he never had the heart for adventure. Timberheart loved adventure, and loved romance, stories, and daydreaming. She was always absent from the conversation, off fighting evil Shadowclanners for her true love in her mind. When she began training, Oaktail almost immediately went off his own direction. Being one to follow her heart, she was always giving her mentor, Jayfoot, hell. Jayfoot was the type of cat to follow the rules, and always abide by the code. He was one that was a thinker and never listened to his heart. He didn't understand Timber, and Timber could never figure out why. She just wanted to climb the trees to tallest branches and run the lengths of the territory until all was explored. She just wanted to learn how to fight and hunt and then continue on her own adventures. She didn't want to be bothered with the rules or the customs. And she wasn't about to appease anyone either. She never was one for manners. Timber came back from training one day to find her mother's body mutilated and mangled in the middle of camp. Of course, she had been cleaned up, but the wounds were gaping wide. She had been attacked by a badger while out hunting for the clan. Sorrow filled Timber's mind for weeks after her mother's death. Oaktail was vengeful, and went out on the patrols to kill the badger, which were eventually successful. He became a warrior for his bravery, and Timber stayed behind due to her lack of motivation for training. Then Jayfoot came and talked to her, told her that life was full of death and goodbyes and that they had to live through it. He told her that her mother would have wanted her to continue training hard, would have wanted her to become a warrior. Deciding that her mentor was actually right for once, she was a warrior within the next moon. Timber lost connection to all her living family. She doesn't talk to them, and they don't talk to her. And she had no problem with that. She enjoys climbing the trees to the sky and dreaming about flying.
